about my entry

this is my third entry and last panel for :icontrue-crystalwolf:'s contest. ^^
the theme is magical.^^

they are true-crystalwolf's original characters saber and karli.
saber is psychic his element is (i forgot but i think its darkness or something)
and karli can control all the elements (she's an archon.

you may have seen karli before --> [link]
and she had very long white hair there but i changed it here because i cant draw the same drawing twice.. ^^;

since the theme is magical- i drew them with their wings since vargs have wings and they can fly. ^^
i went for celestial bodies.. thus the night sky... ^^
i also went for dark x light theme.. ^^
saber represents dark and karli the light.. ^^
only one wing for each for equality.. ^^
saber's wing is drawn as if to hide/protect while karli's wing
is drawn as if to flee/freedom.^^

the bg represents the four elements (fire, water, earth and wind) with the white on the center to represent both
saber and karli

next saber has a mark on his left eye, it glows when he is using his power
karli, doesnt really have marks or tattoos but since she's an archon that controls
all the elements-and since i wanted her to have a cool mark like saber- i put on some.
the one on her face is for fire, the one on her back is for wind,
the one on her side/stomach is for earth, the one on her thigh is for water.. ^^

that red ribbon wrapped around and on them is a symbol that they are equal
and are intertwined beings.. intertwined by fate and time.. and destiny..as vargs.

critique

the lineart suck, i wasnt able to clean them out good.
shading needs improvement.
they're dark...
saber looks angry
karli looks afraid
that irritating watermark sucks.. lol..
sorry but i had to put it there... ^^;
and yes, they're supposed to be like that, skinny with big heads. -nod-
and yes, there's a reflection.. ^^ cool huh? hehehehe.. applied what i learned from summer class. ^^
and yes, im going for romantic thing with that holding hands and karli protected by sabers body.. ^^
she's "inside"... uh.. more like between the legs.. XD ahh!!! you got the point!

comments

deciding for the color took me a long time...
i changed karli and saber's expression a lot of times..
i changed the bg give times...
the glow thing with sabers wing sucks...
karli isnt glowing anymore.. !!!
i really love how it turned out..
i really have to thank my teacher in photo editing and animation for this one
since he gave me (and my classmates) a new swatch.. ^^
and yey! i was able to finish in due time!
dies after 20+ hours of making the last two panels...

once again,
im sorry for not putting their crest or their accessories...
its just that... i wanted them to be totally naked because
i wanted to show their vulnerability and their purity
their identity as vargs who are magical beings that can control their elements(in human form though)
and their power.. ^^
and im sorry for mentioning a love thing/romantic thingy between them..

no mature content filter again.
