about my entry

this is my first entry and first panel for 's contest. ^^
the theme is magical.^^

they are true-crystalwolf's original characters zack and zara.
zara can control the element water and zack can control the element air.

you may have seen zara before [link]
and she had brown hair there but i changed it here because i wanted to keep her closer to her element. ^^

since the theme is magical- i drew them with their wings since vargs have wings and they can fly. ^^
i went for celestial bodies.. thus the title gemini and them on the night sky.
and since its gemini, it implies equality, so i drew them with only one wing.
now lets zoom in to where their hands are like about to meet, there's power coming out
and as you can see (like the night sky) the colors differ but are equally distributed
there is yellow/gold for zack and blue/sea green for zara.

critique

the lineart suck, i wasnt able to clean them out good.
zara looks bigger than zack because of her hair.
shading needs improvement.
zack's nose looks funny.
that irritating watermark sucks.. lol..
sorry but i had to put it there...
and yes, they're supposed to be like that, skinny with big heads. -nod-
and yes, zack is darker than zara. -nod-

the BG took me a long time to finish because i changed it like
for a kazillion times!!! rawr!!!
i must have at least changed their faces 5 times before ending with this one.
i used another technique for shading because dodge and burn didnt work well with their skintones.
i loved drawing their wings and their asses.. lol.. XD its because they're well formed/shaped/drawn.

im sorry for not putting their crest or their accessories...
its just that... i wanted them to be totally naked because
i wanted to show their vulnerability and their purity
their identity as vargs who are magical beings that can control their elements(in human form though)
and their power.. ^^

i dont think i need the mature content filter on this one since they're not really showing anything
that is bad...right?
